Balance Board Trick Progression
Start with the roller centered under the board. Step on the lower end first, then on to the upper end. Push your foot down, with your eyes focused on the roller. At first try to rock from one side to the other. Make the transition slower each time. You will slowly find your center of gravity over the roller. See how long your can balance without touching the sides to the ground.

After you can center your balance, try moving your weight from one foot to the other. Hold your balance point with the roller directly under your foot. Then roll smoothly from one side to the other.

Center your balance, and then spin in small degrees at a time. Balance at a 45 both directions, then parallel with the roller. Eventually turn all the way around in small increments.

After incremental spins are learned, start increasing the degree you spin with each movement. Eventually doing 180 degree spins. Try spinning both directions for an added challenge.
Play with your foot placement on the board. Angle your feet one way, the other, close together, and then far apart.

After the snowboarder balance is learned trying moving to the skiing style, standing sideways on the board. Hang ten toes off the front then try walking to the back and hanging heels.

Spins can then be learned in the same manner as in snowboard style the only difference is your position on the board. Try standing in the center of the board at first spinning in small increments, then spin 180 degrees in one movement. Now try spinning while standing on the front then back of the board. Hang ten spins are always a crowd pleaser.

If you have mastered spinning with the board, trying spinning by jumping and leaving the board in the same position. Spin your body, then landing in balance over the roller on the board

Now take what you have learned to the next level. Center your balance over the center of the tube, move your weight down then up. Push evenly with each foot in opposite directions spinning the board 180 degrees. Land back on and pose for your friends. This is called a shuvit.

The next shuvit that you can learn would be a 90 shuvit, to skier style 50/50, then 90 shuvit back to regular. 360 shuvits are also possible but difficult to master.

Body 90’s, 180’s, and 360’s can then be learned and combined with shuvits to create endless possibilities.
Ollies are also possible yet difficult. Use the tube as the trucks, leverage the nose up then drag your front foot forward, to pull the board off the roller.
